Become a Rapid Responder
What Rapid Responders Do
Get activated in real time — when a report comes into the RRN hotline, nearby responders are notified immediately.
Go out and verify — respond to the location to confirm ICE activity is occurring.
Observe and document — safely record what is happening at the scene.
Report back to RRN dispatch — so the community stays protected and informed in real time.
Everything you need to know — how to verify, observe, and document safely — is covered in the free 2-hour training before you become an official responder. Once you join, you'll receive resources to support you in the field and continuous guidance from our dispatch team through real-time alerts every time you're activated.
Join our network of more than 2700 responders.
Requirements & Details
We have responders across all of Santa Clara County and are always looking for more. The larger our base, the stronger our coverage — for everyone.
Also: Accompaniment Volunteers
Accompaniment is an additional role some responders take on — going with community members to ICE check-ins or court dates to provide moral support and bear witness. You'll learn more about it after becoming a responder.
